Building Leaders Program - Level 2

Based on research and building on the lessons in BLP1, the Building Leaders Program Level 2 is designed to:

  • Increase leadership competencies at all levels in your organization
  • Build an internal pipeline of leaders to fill key roles as you grow
  • Effectively drive succession planning
  • Improve alignment, engagement and communication at all levels
  • Help managers continue their leadership journey toward a level 5 transformational leader
  • Strengthen the confidence employees have in their leaders
  • Establish clear and consistent messages and processes throughout your organization
  • Create a culture of discipline with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Develop shared accountability for results

Building Leaders Program Course Structure & Details:

  • Four full-day classroom-style learning sessions, or eight half-day sessions
  • Half-day sessions can be delivered in person or virtually
  • Learning pods from all levels and business units, but ideally including 1 executive sponsor
  • Self-assessments and goal setting exercises
  • Creation of Accountability Pairs to ensure development progress between workshops
  • Program fees include relevant reading materials, books, course binder, tools and templates
  • Inter-session accountability check-ins with Results Business Consultants to reinforce personal development
  • Expert facilitation of best practices and real-world applications
  • Meaningful dialogue and debate with all leaders to strengthen the organization
  • Each trainee will receive 38 hours of training which can be completed over a 6 to 12 month period. 
  • Upon completion of the course, successful participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. and a customized Badge to add to their LinkedIn account


Cost of BLP: $2,985 CAD plus GST per participant.
NOTE PRICE WILL INCREASE NOVEMBER 1st, 2023 to $3,685 per participant. 


The Building Leaders Program is eligible for the Canada-Alberta Job Grant. Eligible employers can get government funding to help employees and unemployed Albertans access training opportunities. The government contributes two-thirds of the cost to a maximum of $10,000 per trainee per fiscal year. For more information on the job grant program, visit:

Course Curriculum

Developing your Team using DISC (4 hours)

  • Complete the DISC profile questionnaire and get a personalized report
  • Gain insight into your strengths and weaknesses
  • Understand how your profile is seen by others
  • Understand differences in communication styles and decision-making styles
  • Learn how to adapt to have more effective relationships at work

Coaching for Performance ½ day (4 hours)

  • Introduction to the essence of coaching
  • The use of effective questions
  • I.G.R.O.W. model for coaching
  • Role playing and exercises

Mastering Crucial Conversations (8 hours)

  • Introduction to key concepts
    • What is a crucial conversation?
    • Why are they critical?
    • How do we do them effectively?
  • Improve your relationships
  • Enable the performance of others

Leading Change (8 hours)

  • Three Keys to Influence 
  • The Six Sources of Influence 
  • Identify Vital Behaviors for Change
  • Design a Real-Life Change Initiative
  • Present Your Change Initiative

*selection of the best “electives” for your group of Participants will be made in conjunction with your program instructor. 


Additional Curriculum

  • The program will kick off with an introductory session to review the course materials, discuss reading requirements, and introduce key course concepts such as the accountability buddy process
  • Several weeks after each 8 hour block of learning time, a short accountability session will be scheduled to report on progress with learning goals and tasks, and review readings and assignments progress.
